The name works on a lot of levels. I think Lou is the aforementioned friend? Smoke Shack seems refer to smoked meats (Barbecue), and there are a bunch of people with food names on the team. (Bakerboy, Saltpork). There’s also smoking in the Dota 2 video game.
The team logo is pretty cool too. I award 10/10 to this team name/logo.
